Another fantastic, successful in-house competition!

As it was the Olympics this year, we decided to base our in-house competition around an Olympic theme. Gymnasts created name boards with an Olympic theme and they did such a fab job doing this! We had some very creative ideas with so many colours and 3D art! Not just talented gymnasts here at Inspire.
This in-house comp has 3 rounds to the day. Each round was different levels and all of our squad groups split across the whole day. This was the first comp for some of our gymnasts who have just moved up into squads.

To say we haven’t competed in such a long time every single gymnast achieved so much and pushed themselves in training to be ready for this competition.

We held an apparatus competition which involved the gymnasts competing across all 4 pieces – Floor, bars, beam & vault. We also held a tumble competition for our tumble squads. The two competitions were held on separate days so that we could accommodate for 1 spectator per gymnast. It was so great to have the spectators in to watch our gymnasts as they haven’t been able to do that for such a long time. The gymnasts all done so well and showed off what they have been working towards in training since we have been back.
All gymnasts that entered had a limited-edition Olympic challenge cup t-shirt! These were designed based on the theme of the Olympics. It’s great for our gymnasts to have that added extra element to a competition – we all love a new t-shirt which they can wear to training too!
In our tumble competition we gave out medals to first, second and third for each tumble level. On the apparatus competition we gave out medals first, second, third on each piece and a first, second, third overall. Overall are all 4 scores from all of the pieces added together. We do it like this so that there is more opportunity for all gymnasts to win a medal.

A big well done to all of our gymnasts who entered our Olympic Challenge Cup you were all AMAZING and we can’t wait until next time!

A big thank you to all of our helpers, volunteers and judges for giving up their time to make this competition a success!

Roll on the next in-house comp for our recreational members on Saturday 30th October!!
