It was Mental Health Awareness Week from 10th – 16th May 2021. Here at Inspire Gymnastics we fully support our gymnasts & coaches in their mental wellbeing and as a club we are always here for anyone to talk to us about absolutely anything! We recognised mental health week by wearing yellow in our gymnastics sessions - #HelloYellow.
We raised money for Real Lives, a local charity based in Lenton Nottingham. Real Lives was set up by Sue and Nicole in October 2012 to support people in their communities, and to specifically fill a gap in the market where there was a lack of services offering quality, safe social support to people with mental health challenges and multiple needs.

The Mental Health Foundation choose the theme this year as nature, embracing how connecting with the natural world can support good mental health. We wanted to embrace this week with the colour yellow and be bold, bright and together as one in the gym.

As a club we raised £65.00 for Real Lives - a big thank you to everyone who donated!
Welfare Officers at Inspire Gymnastics Academy

We have 3 welfare officers here at the club who are all extremely friendly, welcoming and are here for the welfare of our gymnasts and coaches. They are our clubs ears, they will listen and always talk whenever anyone wants to. One of our welfare officers Rachel, filmed a video for us through mental health awareness week to remind all of our members why our welfare officers are such an important part of our family here at Inspire.
