Wow, what an incredible weekend we have had! Saturday 30th October was our amazing Olympic Games for our recreational gymnasts. This competition ran on an Olympic theme and our gymnasts went round the competition together representing different countries. The countries we had were: GB, USA, Brazil, Germany & Russia. The gymnasts were in groups of their school year and competed against each other. This was a 3 piece competition where the gymnasts competed on floor, vault & trampette. Each routine was different on the pieces depending on the age group.
Every single gymnast who competed was awarded a participation medal with their country at the medal ceremony. We then did a bronze, silver & gold medal for each group of gymnasts. We loved seeing their smiley faces when standing up on the podiums receiving their medals with their team! What an incredible day!
All gymnasts that entered recieved a limited-edition Olympic Games t-shirt! These were designed based on the theme of the Olympics. It’s great for our gymnasts to have a memory to take home from the competition and something they can wear to their gymnastics sessions too.
We had some of our gymnasts that train with us in the week help at the competition. These gymnasts were our country leaders and helped organise the groups when moving round to their different apparatus as well as helping them with their floor routines. This is such a great thing for our gymnasts to do, especially those who want to become coache in the future here at Inspire.

To have spectators in the gym was such a great moment, for some of our parents they have not yet been inside the gym being new members. The parents got to see what their gymnasts have been working on in training and just how amazing our gymnasts are.

A massive well done to all of our gymnasts for competing at our Olympic Games 2021. We can' wait for next time!
