Children need a place to flourish. That’s why Jo Robb founded Inspire after her experience as a Games Maker at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Seeing the commitment, joy and inspiration that the games sparked in imaginations young and old made Jo determined to recreate the passion in her home town.
Ian Davis joined in 2014, adding a new dimension by bringing his expert knowledge of Tumbling to the club. After being inspired by his daughter’s interest in gymnastics Ian embarked on his coaching journey.
At Inspire, gymnastics is more than a sport. It’s about standing up, standing out and choosing your own path. The challenges you can overcome in the gym will help you tackle bigger things in life. It’s a chance to achieve what you practiced yesterday and set a goal to smash tomorrow.
If you have any child protection/welfare issues which cannot be easily resolved by the Academy Manager or by the coach in charge of the session, we will pass it onto the Welfare Officer.
“My daughter came to Inspire in June 2017 after losing confidence in her ability as a gymnast at another club. Since she arrived at Inspire, Jo and Ian saw her potential and have supported Chloe in raising her self-belief and confidence, brought back the passion she has for gymnastics and ‘inspired’ her to be the best she can be. This club really does live up to its name, thank you to all coaches at Inspire! You’re amazing!“
